Our summer programs are here to broaden the minds of young students – introducing them to subjects not offered at traditional high schools. We have an amazing staff of directors, teachers and counselors. All our activities - in class and outside of class - are hands-on, project-based and a lot of fun!
Centenary Summer Scholars is open to rising 8th-12th grade students, and we offer both residential and day options.
Located in Hackettstown, New Jersey (about 90 miles outside of NYC), Centenary College provides a rich learning experience in which students can make the most of their wonderful resources.
We offer multiple, one-week sessions and students choose one course per week. Students attending multiple weeks choose a different class each week.

For the 2010 season, we offer 4 one-week sessions running from Sunday to Friday. Each session, we offer the 6 academic tracks listed on the opposite page. Within many of our academic tracks, we offer a variety of focus areas. Please refer to the course descriptions for further detail on these. Students may sign up for one or more sessions. Students attending multiple sessions may stay in the same course without repeating the curriculum, or may choose a new academic track. All sessions accept students at all levels.
Students attending multiple sessions also have the option of staying on campus between sessions. The weekend stay-over gives students a better chance to get to know the staff and campus, and includes fun and diverting activities and events. The additional fee charged for this service allows the program to provide uninterrupted supervision and fun. Students who live in the area are welcome to enjoy the comforts of home and return on the next Sunday, refreshed and ready to start a new session.
